Turkish interest calculator

Calculate statutory or commercial default interest on a claim against a Turkish debtor, period by period, using the official Turkish rates.

Which rate applies to a claim in Türkiye?

  • Statutory interest applies where no rate was agreed in a non-commercial matter (Law No. 3095, Art. 1). From 31 July 2026 it equals 80% of the Central Bank's rediscount rate on 31 December of the previous year (31% for 2026).
  • Commercial default interest: in commercial matters with no agreed default rate, the creditor may claim the Central Bank's short-term advance rate (Art. 2/2). By law the rate on 31 December applies for the following year; if the rate on 30 June differs by 5 points or more, that rate applies for the second half of the year.

If your contract sets a default rate, use the fixed rate option.
